Track 2: Environment and Health Safety

Health is entirely depending upon environment and due to this any harmful particle in environment leaves its bad impact on health. Regarding this reason some safety rules should be followed whether in work place or other. Our concern is to aware people about the safety rules which, if followed will built a better environment.

Track 3: Global Warming and Environmental Pollution

A rapidly increasing environmental pollution causing global warming which is a major threat now days. Rising sea levels, droughts, storms, extinction, increase in temperature turning off the ecological balance. Global warming, climate change, depletion of ozone layer, and increase in pollution are the main problems from which our environment is suffering.

Track 4: Ecotoxicology

Ecotoxicology is the part of environmental science that melds the fields of ecology and toxicology. Major issues addressed by ecotoxicological studies include chemical element transport (that is, their movement in the environment), fate (for example, biotransformation), and influence (examples include lethality, endocrine disruption and bioaccumulation) within ecological systems. Biomonitoring is a significant tool in ecotoxicology for humans as well as wildlife.

Track 5: Biomedical Waste Management

Biomedical waste is the Waste generated by health care activities includes a broad range of materials, from used needles and syringes to soiled dressings, body parts, diagnostic samples, blood, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and radioactive materials. Biomedical waste may also include waste associated with the generation of biomedical waste that visually appears to be of medical or laboratory origin such as packaging, unused bandages, infusion kits, etc.

Track 6: Occupational Toxicology

Occupational Toxicology is involved with health effects from exposure to chemicals in the workplace. This field grew out of a need to save workers from toxic substances and to make their work environment safe. Occupational diseases influenced by industrial chemicals account for many death, and new cases of illness each year all over the world.

Track 7: Food Toxicology

Food Toxicology is involved in serving a safe and edible supply of food to the consumer. During processing, many substances may be mixed to food to make it look, taste, or smell better. Fats, oils, sugars, starches and other substances may be added to change the flavor and taste of food. These additives are studied to determine if and at what quantity, they may produce adverse effects.

Track 8: Medical Toxicology

Medical Toxicology is a medical subspecialty converging on the diagnosis, management and prevention of poisoning and other adverse health issues due to medications, occupational and environmental toxins, and biological agents. Medical Toxicology is officially known as a medical subspecialty by the American Board of Medical Specialties.

Track 9: Human Genotoxicology

This describes the toxic agents that damages genetic information and causes gene mutation. This may lead to cancer. The alteration can have direct or indirect effects on the DNA: the induction of mutations, mistimed event activation, and direct DNA damage etc. The permanent, heritable changes can affect either somatic cells of the organism or germ cells to be passed on to future generations.

Track 10: Economic and Regulatory Toxicology

The Economic toxicology deals with the use and threats involved in the use of food additives in food preservation and processing, man-made fertilizers and pesticides in advanced agriculture. Poisoning, accidental or occupational, which is so common in the use of man-made pesticides and the contamination of food stuffs by these toxic chemicals are areas of interest in economic toxicology. Regulatory toxicology works on these hazards. It is about to minimize the risk presented by toxic agents which are harmful for public health and environment as well.

Track 11: Environmental Risk Assessment and Management

Risk assessment and management generally deals with identification of hazards, analyzing and evaluating the risks associated and minimize those risk. The General Approaches to Environmental Risk assessment and management involves techniques help in creating awareness about the different potential hazards, identifying the people who pose the major risk because of the biohazards; formulate the control measures and prioritizing the hazards and control measures. The methods of hazard control can be mainly considered under Elimination which also includes substitution, Environmental Engineering controls, administrative controls and specific protective equipment.

Track 12: Epidemiology and Biostatistics

The epidemiological studies on descriptive and analytic approaches help to understand the complex causes of major public health problems and to develop effective technique to prevent them. Biostatistics focuses on the development and application of this theory and technique in the collection, analysis and understanding of epidemiological data used in public health and other biomedical sciences. When studying a disease, epidemiologists always depend on clinical physicians and laboratory scientists for the proper diagnosis of individual patients.

Track 13: Occupational Safety and Health Services

Occupational safety and health service is the field where it is at a time concerned with safety, health, welfare of people at work place. It is desirable that some sort of occupational health services be established in every country. The coverage of workers by occupational health services varies widely, ranging from 5-10 per cent at best in the developing world up to 90 per cent in industrialized countries. There is therefore a need to increase worker coverage throughout the world. Ideally, each country should progressively develop occupational safety and health services for all workers, including those in the public sector and members of production cooperatives, in all branches of economic activity and in all enterprises. The occupational health services provided should be adequate and appropriate to the specific health risks of the enterprises.

Track 14: Health Economics and Public Policies

Health resources include all the staff that is directly or indirectly involved in any health issue concern. The field of health human resources deals with issues such as planning, development, performance, management, retention, information, and research on human resources for the health care sector. Health Economics and Public Policies is the field identifying with authority, administration, and organization of public health, health awareness systems, clinics, and doctor's facility systems.

Track 15: Environmental Agents

Environmental agents are the things which are highly used in our society as well as which are hazardous for environment. These agents are having innumerous reproductive and developmental health effects. Patient exposure to toxic environmental contaminants at any point of time may lead to harmful health outcome.

Track 16: Carcinogenesis

The formation of cancer cells from normal cells is called carcinogenesis. The changes at different levels like cellular, genetic and epigenetic that ultimately proceed a cell to uncontrolled cell division is the process of carcinogenesis. Mutation, epimutation of genetic material of normal cells, cell proliferations causes the carcinogenesis.

Track 17: Mutagenesis

When the genetic information (DNA/RNA) of an organism is changed in a particular stable manner the process is called mutagenesis. Mutagenesis may arise due to natural mutagens or artificial mutagens that induce changes to the DNA.

Environmental toxicology and Health is a multidisciplinary field of study in the environmental sciences that is concerned with the assessment of various toxic substances and their harmful effects on the living organism as well as on environment. It occupies an important niche among toxicology, environmental health, and public policy. Its major contribution has been providing tools and scientific evidence to policy-makers and the public in preventing substantially greater environmental degradation, including adverse human health impacts.

In East Asia, environmental toxicology receives increasing attention and shows significant growth. With the increase in the number of environmental problems, there is a need for immediate solution, and environmental toxicology is expected to play an important role as a support tool for environmental risk assessment. More fundamental and applied research should be carried out to deal with the public health challenges in terms of environmental problems and to increase the body of scientific knowledge in this field.

Earth Science-2016 Report

The 5^th International Conference on Earth Science and Climate Change was organized during July 25-27, 2016 at the Hotel AVANI Atrium, Bangkok, Thailand.
